The County Durham Plan sets the planning framework up to 2035 to support the development of a thriving economy in County Durham while at the same time protecting those things that are important to us all. It identifies a number of sites for new employment, new housing and new infrastructure to accommodate the growth needed to achieve these ambitions.
The pre-submission draft of the plan is currently being consulted upon. During a consultation you can send responses in a number of ways, but DCC would like to encourage you to submit your views online, via the interactive website. Responses can also be sent by email to: [email protected]. A number of consultation sessions are also taking place. The Housing Strategy has been developed to consider housing issues in County Durham. The council is providing a presentation on the Housing Strategy to the County Durham Association of Local Councils on the 21st of February 2019 to support this consultation. The Housing Strategy is available to view at all local libraries and Customer Access Points across County Durham. You can download electronic copies of the documents and learn more about the Housing Strategy from the Durham County Council website: http://www.durham.gov.uk/consultation.
The consultation on the Housing Strategy runs until 16:30 on the 8th March 2019.
